It is the goal of Biz4NJ.com to give business people precisely and succinctly the tools to use, and concepts that plant seeds of improvement. We believe in sharing that enormous commercial talent pool lying within our Garden State. Toward that end, we will continue to bring our readers the broadest range of business expertise, and invite their responses in open forum. And if you do not see what you want - just ask for it. (Readers Requests.)No individual should have to ply the waters of commerce alone.
You will notice a refreshing lack of pop-ups, jarring ads, and advertorials on our pages. We believe today's business person is too busy and intelligent to be seduced by such distractions. Instead, Biz4NJ interviews business leaders, and using their expertise, crafts articles which offer solutions and showcase a company's particular talents. This way, both writer and reader are better served.
We further believe in fostering the community of business individuals and companies.Reaching beyond the mere realm of trade, we encourage a sharing and interaction which makes us all stronger. We believe in helping each business, regardless of size, to further connect with its local community. Whatever the field of trade, each of us draws strength from our neighbors, and we encourage such involvement.
No political position or party has a lock on providing the ideal business climate. Biz4NJ takes no sides, rather we deliver news of appropriate legislation and describe its effects.
Finally, we see the business of business as more than profit alone. The worthy company and each employee takes constant assessment of his actions. As shapers of society we owe a moral responsibility to treat our environment with care. Each person our company members and product touches will hopefully be the better for that contact. In short, our business must be a force for not merely for change, but for improvement.
Today, New Jersey is among the globe's leaders in pharmaceuticals, and at the same time, we're one of the top states in recycling and Smart Growth. We strive for balance.Humankind is astoundingly innovative, and our Garden State is home to some of the most innovative minds. Together hopefully we can preserve, and create, and we can solve the many problems ahead of us.

Note from Biz4NJ's Founding Editor
As a writer my career began with interviewing outdoor athletes, adventurers, and explorers. I would return from traipsing alongside these heady folk and spin yarns about their feats and that interesting internal character which drove them.
Along the way, I also became privileged to meet the many other people who helped make these feats possible. World class mountaineer Reinhold Meisner would never have made the first-ever solo summitting of Everest, had not his wife climbed her way around the whole massive Himalayan terrain taking photos and helping plan strategy.
Later, several publishers began subtly drawing me into the world of business. Here again I encountered both those exploring entrepreneurs, along with the many dedicated individuals who made each company and project possible. After more than two decades of writing about New Jersey business, I have come to appreciate our unique commercial environment - and the fascinating men and women who labor within it. Whether you're the CEO of one of the state's vast corporations, founder of a small business, or the unsung purchasing agent, working 60 hours a week, whose negotiating saves his company millions; each of you contributes the expertise that makes it happen.
You all have so much to tell that is vital, it is my humble hope that we may help bring your experiences and stories to light in the way they deserve. We look forward to hearing from you.
